Jerold Thornton "Jerry" Williamson, 79, of Baldwin, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home.
Born May 18, 1936, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Mary Alice Williamson. He was a truck driver for American Freight Lines. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a son Greg Williamson.
Surviving are his wife: Betty (Barrett) Williamson of the home; son: Tim Williamson of Baldwin; daughters: Deborah Williamson of Panama City Beach, FL, Pam Lovell & Randy of Baldwin, Nicole Clark & Brent of Mt. Airy; grandchildren: Riley Sexton – Baldwin, Gloria Williamson – Flowery Branch, Tristan Clark – Mt. Airy, Brandon Williamson – Atlanta, Brad Williamson – Cornelia, Kelsey Williamson – Cornelia, Jill Harn – Baldwin, Andy Williamson – Alto, Bridget Motes – Baldwin, Heather Lovell – Batesville, Haley Lovell – Baldwin; and 15 great grandchildren.
Mr. Williamson's request was to be cremated and the family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
