Mr. Jerry Woody, 67, of W. Franklin Place, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home.

Born on November20, 1953 in Royston GA, he was the son of the late Jesse Benton Woody and Sarah Elizabeth Correll Woody.Mr. Woody was a tree surgeon for Farrens Tree Surgeons, Inc., and a member of the Zidon Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters: Madison Woody, Jasmine Smith, and Dalena Smith, all of Brunswick, GA; sisters: Doris Donald of Hartwell, Barbara Woody of Hartwell, Linda Thorne of Canon; and six grandchildren. Mr. Woody is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: James Woody, Bobby Joe Woody; and one sister: Betty Carver.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home. Social distancing and masks are recommended.Other times the family will be at the home of Doris Donald, 67 Heritage Rd, Hartwell, GA.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Woody will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zidon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Bill officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
