Obituary
Mrs. Jewell Mitchell Brown, 95, of Woodland Way, Dewy Rose, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born on May 6, 1919 in Danielsville, she was the daughter of the late Ed Mitchell and Mary Dudley Mitchell.She was a home maker and a member of the Bio Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter: Betty McIntire of Greensboro, NC; two sons:Allen R. Drake and his wife Beth of Elberton and Mike Drake of Hartwell; she is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her first husband: Hoyt Drake and her second husband Russell Brown; one daughter: Ruth Hicks and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2:00 at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.Burial will be in the Bio Baptist Church cemetery.The family is at their respective homes.
