Jill O'Barr Carney

Ms. Jill O‘Barr Carney, 62, of Reno Nevada, formerly of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 in Reno Nevada under hospice care.

Born on February 10, 1964 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of Lawrence O’Barr and Helen Wilhite O’Barr of Hartwell.

Survivors include her parents; one son: Nathan Carney; one daughter: Eliana Carney both of Lake Tahoe CA; one brother: Michael O’Barr (Jennifer) of Hartwell; one niece: Leslie Buchanan (Todd) of Royston; one nephew: Joseph O'Barr; two great nieces: Laci O’Barr of Hartwell and Alisa Buchanan of Royston.

A celebration of life for Ms. Jill Carney will be Saturday, May 16, 2026 11:00 a.m. at The Christ’s Church of Hartwell, 1318 Reed Creek Highway, Hartwell GA with Rev. Michael Kimberly officiating.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the local arrangements.
