Mr. George Jimmy (Jim) Crittendon, age 59 of 332 New Hope Ext. Canon, received his healing and went to meet God on Saturday, August 25, 2007
Jim was the husband of Audrey Elizabeth Weaver Crittendon. They were true soul mates and the love of each other's life. They were happily married for twenty eight years.
Born January 10, 1948 in Hartwell, GA he was the son of Inez Atkinson Crittendon and the late George Crittendon.He was owner and operator of J & L Custom Trim and Landscaping.
Survivors include his wife: sons and daughters-in-law: Scotty and Wanda Bailey of Hartwell, and Dale and Cindy Greenway of Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law: Melody and Tim Housley of Lavonia; grandchildren: Garrett Bailey, Dillon Bailey, and Amelia Housley; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: James and Dora Weaver; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Avaline and Larry Adams; sister-in-law: Denise Weaver Thompson; brother: Dean Crittendon of Fair Play, SC; sisters: Shelby Keller and Delores Hendricks of Hartwell; nieces and nephews: Kelly Evans, Michael Weaver, Nikki Thompson, Joseph Thompson, and Levi Thompson.
The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2007 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Revs. Keith Reid, Ralph Goss, and Johnny Stowe officiating. Burial will be in the Bowersville City Cemetery.
