Mr. James A. "Jimmy" Carroll, age 60, of Bowersville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 26, 2017.
Born January 30, 1957, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late: George William Carroll and Margaret Ruth (Atkinson) Carroll. He was owner and operator of Carroll's Quick Lube. Mr. Carroll was of the Christian faith. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Of all of his accomplishments, he was most proud of his family. He was especially proud of his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Sherry (Kinley) Carroll; son and daughter-in-law: Jay and Kellee Carroll; daughter and son-in-law: Janna and Josh Hazle; grandchildren: Julie Hazle, James Carroll, William Carroll, and Henry Carroll; and cousin: Bobby and Jean Watkins.
A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church in Carnesville. A private graveside service will precede the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or donations may be made in honor of Jimmy's grandchildren made payable to The Lavonia Boy Scout Troop 51 and given to the funeral home, or donations to Liberty Baptist Church Preschool, 6077 Highway 145, Carnesville, GA 30521.
