Mr. James Howard "Jimmy" Huggins, 79, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 at his home.

Born on December 26, 1945 in Humboldt TN, he was the son of the late James Donald Huggins and Margaret Howard Burcham Huggins.  Jimmy graduated from the University of GA with a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.  He retired from the US Corps of Engineers as a Ranger for both Lake Hartwell and Lake Russell.  Jimmy also was a member of the Hartwell First Methodist Church and Savannah River Chapter Trout Unlimited. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, training hunting dogs and growing orchids.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Anne Huggins; and one brother: John Huggins (Evelyn) of Trinity AL.

Memorial services for Mr. Jimmy Huggins will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell St., Hartwell GA or to a Charity of One's Choice.
