Jimmy Carl Whitworth, age 75, of Lavonia, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 6, 1948, in Stephens County, son of the late James Roy Whitworth and Mildred Hicks Whitworth. He was a retired maintenance worker, having worked for Carwood Manufacturing and various others in the textile industry. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Gail Westbrooks Whitworth; son & daughter-in-law: Chris & Greta Whitworth; daughter & son-in-law: Kelley & Michael Schulman; brother: Tommy Wayne Whitworth; grandchildren: Garrett & Hannah Whitworth; Kylie Whitworth, Madison Schulman, and Zane Schulman; and great-granddaughter: Gracie Rae Whitworth.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at their respective homes.
