Mrs. Joan Julia Huebner Pittman, 89, of Milltown Road, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at her home.
Born on October 19, 1930 in Springfield IL, she was the daughter of the late .Mrs. Pittman was a graduate of Colombia University, New York City NY, where she received a Master's degree in Education.She retired from her last teaching job at Blackwell Elementary School in Elberton GA.
Survivors include her daughter: Lee Pittman of Hartwell. Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her husband: Dr. George Cline Pittman Jr.
Mrs. Pittman wished to be cremated and no formal memorial service planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help homeless animals.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
