Joan Anna Ingersoll Rausch, a resident of Lavonia, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on January 20, 1941, in Owego, NY, Joan was the daughter of Robert and Rose Marie Davis Ingersoll.

Before her retirement, she skillfully applied her talents as a seamstress at Georgia Sportswear and later as a cook at Dad's Restaurant. Joan possessed a passion for singing and found joy in karaoke. She also found tranquility in the simple pleasure of fishing, a pastime that brought her peace and serenity. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Ruhamah Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reverend Miles Rausch, her brother, Robert Ingersoll, and her sister, Marion Dyer. Joan's memory will be cherished by her children, April Rausch, Scott (Kristi) Gee, and Charles (Betty) Rausch, as well as her sisters, Roberta Reed and Betty Labarr, several grandchildren; friends who were like daughters, April "2" Artist and Beverly Carter; and special friends, Barbara & Tommy Scogin

A memorial service to celebrate Joan's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Victoria Bryant State Park, Shelter 4. In keeping with her wishes, Joan was cremated.
