Mrs. JoAnne Long Brown Gregg, 84, of Elberton Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Hart Care Center.

Born on April 28, 1935 in Franklin NC, she was the daughter of the late John Boyd Long and Helen Gribble Long.Mrs. Gregg was retired from Hart EMC, where she was a Billing Clerk and was a member of the Dispensational Bible Church of Hartwell.

Survivors include her two sons: Bobby Brown (Robbie) of Hartwell and Mark Brown (Julie) of Clarksville GA; a sister: Evelyn Huscusson of Franklin NC; four brothers: John Long of Shelby NC, Charles Long of Asheville NC, Dennis Long of Dalton GA and Donnie Long of Franklin NC; three grandchildren: Adam Brown (Holly), Dalton Brown and Tonya Cowan (Heath) and four great-grandchildren: Ethan Brown, Landon Brown, Liam Cowan and Rylee Cowan also survive.Mrs. Gregg was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Robert "Gene" Brown and second husband: Grady C. Gregg.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Cleveland officiating.Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.The family will be at the home.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway Suite 480, Columbia, MD 21044.
