Mrs. Joanne Evert Telgen, 83, of Brown Circle, Hartwell, died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her home.

Born on March 9, 1931 in Detroit MI, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Evert and Viola Galow Evert.She was a retired Registered Nurse, member of the Ladies Golf Association of the Hartwell Golf Club and a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters: Connie Fields of Millen GA and Cindy Mason of Vancouver WA; a daughter-in-law: Tamberlyn Telgen of Hiram GA; a sister: Nancy Mathis of Flushing MI; five grandchildren: Brian Fields & Rhonda, Tommy Telgen & Jennifer, Caitlin Mason, Carl Mason and Dustin Telgen; three great grandchildren: Autumn, Caroline and Tucker.Mrs. Telgen was preceded in death by her husband: William "Bill" Telgen; a son: Robert "Bobby" Telgen and a sister: Shirley Nieman.

Mrs. Telgen wished to be cremated and the family will receive friends Sunday, September 28 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at her home on Brown Circle.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church Music Ministries, 200 E.
