Mr. Joseph Rudolph "Jody" Pruett Jr., 53, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024.

Born on December 12, 1971 in Decatur GA, he was the son of Joseph R. Pruett and Jean Thompson Pruett.  Jody was formerly a welder for Fun Spot of Hartwell and loved to work on things and fix them.

Survivors include his parents: Rudy and Jean Pruett of Jefferson GA; a daughter: Jessica Pena (Tony) of Key West FL; a grandchild: Tommy Pena; a sister: Kris Pruett of Hartwell and a niece: April Field of Comanche TX.  Jody was preceded in death by a daughter: Breanna Pruett.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

A memorial service to remember the life of Jody will be Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bailey officiating.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
