Mr. Joe V. Duncan, 80, of Hobbs Street, Royston, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at his home.
Born on September 28, 1933 in Danielsville, GA, he was the son of the late James Veal Duncan and Essie Bailey Duncan.He was retired from the Franklin County Road Department as a machine operator and was a member of the Price Chapel Church.
Survivors include his wife: Bonnie Davis Duncan; four sons: Travis Duncan and his wife Kimmie of Royston, Mark Duncan and his wife Gwen of Royston, Greg Duncan of Clayton, AL and Curt Duncan and his wife Melissa of Carnesville; three daughters: Lisa Richardson and her husband Michael of Elberton, Teresa DeGrave and her husband Gordon of Hartwell and Tammy Stowe and her husband Tracy of Hartwell; thirteen grandchildren, six step grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren also survives. He was preceded in death by one grandchild: Anna Duncan; three brothers: Jack Duncan, Bailey Duncan, John Duncan and one sister: Mozelle Porterfield.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 17 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston, GA.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.The family is at the home.
