Mr. Joe G. Haley, 85, of 887 Cleveland Mill Road, Hartwell, GA, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospice House, Bogart GA.

Born April 8, 1922 in Franklin County, Georgia, he was the son of the late P.F. Haley and Lelia Long Haley.He retired from NVF in 1986 as a machine operator and supervisor.He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Hart County Farm Bureau and the Hart County Cattleman's Association.

His survivors include:Wife, Alice Walters Haley of the home; Sons, Larry Haley and his wife Linda of Hartwell GA, Jerry Haley and his wife Susan of Canon GA, Kenneth Haley and his wife Margaret of Hartwell GA and Roger Haley of Royston GA; Daughters, Linda Harris and her husband Blane of Hartwell GA and Peggy Tucker and her husband William of Hartwell GA; Sister, Lillian Strickland of Royston GA; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren also survives.He is preceded in death by his parents, Brothers, Herbert, Lacola, Willis, Coy, Woodrow, Tesla, Frank and Gene Haley; and Sister: Merle Grubbs.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel.Rev. J.W. Stowe and Rev. Keith McKenzie will officiate.Burial will be in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Steve Williams officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of William and Peggy Tucker, 1848 Mt.
