Obituary
Mr. Joe Benson Higginbotham, Jr, age 90, of 311 Simpson Rd, Anderson SC, died Friday, November 6 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.
Born in Elbert Co. GA, he was the son of the late Joe B. Higginbotham Sr. and Hattie Gaines Higginbotham.He retried from Communications Service Center, Greenville SC as a Two Radio Technician.He was of the Baptist faith and a WW II U S Army air Corps veteran.
Survivors include his brother, John K. Higginbotham of Anderson as well as several nieces and nephews.Mr. Higginbotham was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Seth T. Higginbotham and a sister, Margaret H. Banister.
A graveside service will be Monday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends after the graveside service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson SC 29621.
