Mr. Joe Lane "Joey" Pruitt, age 64, of Lavonia, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at AnMed Health in Anderson SC.
Born July 5, 1952, in Hendersonville NC, he was the son of the late Joshua Pruitt and Blanch McClure Pruitt. He was a construction contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Ronnie and Robert Pruitt.
He is survived by his wife: Rachel Wood Pruitt; daughter and son-in-law: Stephaine & Homer Deaton; son: Brian Pruitt; grandchildren: Brandon & Morgan Pruitt and Brianna Duncan; great-granddaughter: Remedy Rose Pruitt; sister: Helen Moss; and brothers: Jerry, Stevie, & Ricky Pruitt.
Memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Tugaloo State Park. A reception will follow the service.
