Mr. Joseph Norman "Joe" Thomas, 84, of 720 Pine Lane Drive, Thomson GA. Died Sunday, March 20, 2011at University Hospital in Augusta GA.
Born on January 19, 1927 in Dierks AR, he was the son of the late Roy Martin Thomas and Lillian Bassett Thomas. He was the retired owner and operator of Thomson Molding and Mill Works. He was a member and past president of the Exchange Club, member and past Commodore of the Thomson Boat Club and a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomson. He was a US Navy veteran of WW II.
He is survived by his wife, Eulaine Adams "Laine" Thomas of Thomson; a daughter, Patty Bradshaw and her husband Brink of Thomson; three grandchildren, Brinkley Bradshaw, Laine Bradshaw, Mallory Bradshaw; one great grandchild, Camryn Eulaine Bradshaw also survives.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. James Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour. Memorials may be made to charity of one's choice or to the American Cancer Society.
