Mr. Joe Edwin Thrasher, 70, of Hartwell, GA, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born May 3, 1937 in Hart County, GA, he is the son of Gladys Baker Thrasher of Hartwell, GA and the late Andrew Thrasher.He was retired from Monroe Auto Equip.He was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, a Mason and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors include:Mother; Wife, Phyllis Toney Thrasher of the home; Daughters, Robin Dahlman and her husband Todd of Jefferson, GA and Bobbie Ballenger and her husband Ricky of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Polly Stowe and her husband Ken of Hartwell, GA and Mary Lowery and her husband Eddie of Hartwell, GA; Four grandchildren, April Verner, Mallory Rowland, Andrew Ballenger and Alex Ballenger; One great grandchild, Samuel Verner also survives.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Abundant Life Baptist Church.Rev. Ken Brewer and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Baptist Church, P.O. Box 237, Hartwell, GA30643
