Joseph Robert "Joey" Hyde, age 54, of Lavonia, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born March 13, 1958 in Royston, he was the son of Esther Ruth (Saylors) Hyde and the late William David Hyde. Mr. Hyde was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife: Callie (Alexander) Hyde; son: William Cory Hyde; daughter: Tiffany Iris Hyde; brother and sister-in-law: James & Dean Hyde; sister: Melinda Hyde Capes; sister & brother-in-law: Miranda & Todd Fleming; grandchildren: Gabriella Paige Paulino & Peyton Alexander Paulino and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Nash officiating. A private burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.At other times the family will be at their respective homes.
