Obituary
Mr. John H. "Johnny" Bridges, 81, of Bowman Hwy., Hartwell, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Heardmont Nursing Home in Elberton, GA.
Born on September 27, 1937 in Lawrenceville, GA, he was the son of the late Frank William Bridges and Nancy Christine Shook Bridges. Mr. Bridges was a retired carpenter for Wilson Construction and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three brothers: Bruce Bridges of Loganville, GA, Roger Bridges of Loganville, GA, and Dewey Bridges of Bethlehem, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Earline Wilson Bridges; five brothers: Dee, Edmond, Raymond, Robert, and Don; and one sister: Carol Mote.
A memorial graveside service celebrating Johnny's life will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery, Tucker, GA.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
