Brent Burnette
Mr. John Brent Burnette, age 40, of Denton, TX, formerly of Lavonia, died Monday, August 15, 2011 at Texas Health Arlington Memorial.
Born December 16, 1970, in Toccoa, GA, he was the son of Ray Burnette and Linda Thornton Bennett. He was a graduate of Franklin County High School and a veteran of the US Army and US National Guard. Mr. Burnette was an installer with Reynolds Signs.
He is survived by his parents: Ray Burnette of Toccoa and Linda Thornton Bennett of Lavonia; sons: Zach, Brady, and Brycen Burnette; daughter: Brittney Milford; granddaughter: Sarah Merck; brother: Jason Burnette; sister: Cassie Stancill, and special friend: Angie Freese.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at their respective homes.
