Mr. John E. "Jack" Martin Sr, 89, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the St. Mary Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia GA.

Born on May 17, 1936 in Enola PA, he was the son of the late Jerome Martin and Blanche Irvin Martin.  He was retired from Bell Telephone Company as a manager and a member of the Hartwell First Methodist Church. He was a US Army Reserve Veteran.

Survivors include his wife: Janice McFarlin Martin; two sons; John E. Martin Jr., Charlie Rich; one step-son: James McFarlin; four daughters: Cindy Sherwood, Joni Schmidt, Lori Wilson, Caroline Lawrence; one brother: Butch Martin; one sister: Shirley Kirkessner; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Jack Martin will be Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart and Rev. Michele May officiating with a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall.

The family will be at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First Methodist Church, 200 Howell Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
