Mr. John J. Lorenzen, Jr., 85, of 2697 Old 29 Hwy., Hartwell, GA, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at Hart County Hospital.
Born October 22, 1923 in Hackensack, NJ, he was the son of the late John Lorenzen, Sr and Margaret Rieman Lorenzen.He was retired from the Hart County Recycle Center and was the owner of Mr. J's Grocery.He was a member of the American Legion and the Golden K.He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by:Wife, Dolores Lorenzen of the home; Daughters, Alice Johnson and her husband Tim of Ashville, NY; and Susan Lorenzen of Hartwell, GA; Brother, Robert Lorenzen of Newburg, NY; Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Walter T. Lorenzen.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Sharon Presbyterian Church.Rev. Lawton Daugherty will officiate. The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to Sharon Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1051, Hartwell, GA30643.
