Obituary
Mr. John Inman McLane, 97, of 108 E. Franklin Street, Hartwell, died Friday, November 18, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on February 1, 1914 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late James Dale McLane and Ada Cleveland McLane.He was a self-employed painter and former farmer, and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Mr. McLane was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Clara Mae Beck McLane; two brothers, Wendell McLane and Horace McLane; and three sisters: Quille Byrum, Chloe Phillips, and Mary Senkbeil.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Sam Byrum officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
