John Furman Randall was born on July 4th, 1936. He passed at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical center on August 6th, 2018, at the age of 82. His parents were Robert Thomas and Mamie Whitworth Randall.
He was preceded in death by 8 siblings in addition to his parents. He was the last surviving member of his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Christine Floyd Randall and two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Priscilla Randall of Dunnellon, Florida and Wayne and Paige Randall of Martin. Four grandchildren Janna Randall Alt (Glenn), Jade Randall, Lily Randall, and Canyon Randall. Two great grandchildren, Cooper Alt and Gracie Alt as well as many nieces and nephews. He was retired from American Woodmark and continued to operate his family farm. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was active in the Sanctuary Sunday School class.
The funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
