Mr. John Walker Robertson, 80, of Walt Wilson Road, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his home

Born on July 24, 1935 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Howell Baxter Robertson and Lizzie Gray Robertson Byrum.Mr. Robertson was retired from Newton Mill and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

Survivors include two sons: Doug Robertson and Steve Robertson both of Hartwell; one daughter: Sandra Heitz of Hartwell; two sisters: Lucy Brown and Nina Haley both of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Chris Robertson, Jacob Heitz and Jessica Heitz and five great-grandchildren: Matthew Cann, Charlotte Robertson, Amelia Robertson, Adalynn Cann and Grayson Heitz.Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Sarah Richey Robertson and two brothers: Bill Robertson and Bob Robertson

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry James officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening.The family is at the home.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Rock Springs Baptist Church, 2393 Rock Springs Road, Lavonia GA 30553 or to the American Lung Association of Georgia, 2452 Spring Rd., Smyrna, GA 30080.
