John Edward Skelton, 82, of Hartwell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia in 1966 and was a dedicated Rotarian for over 40 years. John was a member of Hartwell First Presbyterian Church and held a private pilot's license.

John will be remembered for his kindness, faith, and service to his community.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Massey Skelton; his parents: Edward Alford Skelton and Anne Holbrook Skelton.

John is survived by his son, Parke Skelton (Terri); daughters, Lee Skelton Rucks (Matt) and Sally Skelton Kinchen (Dewey); grandchildren; and great-granddaughter.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
