Mr. John Walker White, 76, of 444 Cade Street, Hartwell, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.

Born on May 10, 1935 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late John Henry White and Phenida Wilson White.He was a retired shipping supervisor for the Hartwell Company and a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church.He was also a United States Air Force Veteran who served between 1955 and 1960.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Baty White; two sons: Mark and his wife, Tosha, of Hartwell, and Kevin and his wife, Jodee, of Watkinsville; two brothers: Doug White and Robert White both of Hartwell; four grandchildren: John Palmer and Aiden White, Chandler and Cathryn White.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James White; six sisters: Mae Addison, Ruby Morris, Evelyn White, Maude Woodall, Martha Willis, and Becky Brock.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Steve Williams and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday.The family is at the home.Floral arrangements are optional and special memorials may be made out to Hartwell First Baptist Church, 81 E. Howell St., Hartwell, GA30643.
