Ms. Johnnie Brown Cleveland, 80, Cunningham Drive, Hartwell, died Saturday, August 31, at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born on December 24, 1932 in Hartwell GA, she was daughter of the late John H. Brown and Lona Sanders Brown.She was a retired clerk for American Laundry and Dry Cleaning and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Connie Rice & her husband John of Hartwell; a granddaughter, Chelsey Rice McKelvey and her husband Seth; two sisters, Millie McCullough of Anderson SC and Virginia "Gennie" Jones of Hartwell; a brother, Douglas Brown of Anderson SC also survives.Ms. Cleveland was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Darlene Turner; two sisters, Mary Brown and Elizabeth Blakley and four brothers, James Brown, Clyde Brown, Gene Brown and Alton Brown.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. Tuesday morning.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
