Mr. Johnny H. Cobb, 84, of 687 S. Leard Street, Hartwell, husband of Mrs. Inez Bratcher Cobb, died Monday, July 23, 2012 at his home

Born on July 12, 1928 in Lavonia, GA, he was the son of the late Marshall Cobb and Essie Pierce Cobb.He was a retired machine operator from Monroe Auto Equipment Company, and a member of the Hartwell Church of God.

Survivors include his wife Inez Bratcher Cobb of the home; two daughters: Diane Seymour and her husband Dewey of Hartwell, Susan Bass of Bowersville; two sons: Randy Cobb of Hartwell, Alan Cobb and his wife Kelly of Hartwell; one grandson raised in the home, Aaron Cobb and his wife Hope of Hartwell; two brothers: Charles Cobb of Sumter, SC and James Cobb of Hartwell; six grandchildren, one step grandchild; six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tony Cobb; five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Rev. Howard Conine officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night.The family is at the home.
