Obituary
Mr. Johnny Roscoe Daves, 57, of 660 Old Hendry's Church Rd., Canon, GA, husband of Wanda Floyd Daves, died Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Minnesota.
Born on March 23, 1953 in Commerce, GA, he was the son of the late Guy Daves and Alma Owensby Daves. He was a construction superintendent for Newco Construction of America and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott Daves and wife Shira of Lawrenceville, and Justin Daves of Cocoa Beach, FL.; one brother, Jerry Daves and wife Martha of Commerce; three sisters, Mary Ann Thomas and husband John of Commerce, Amy Brown and husband Phil of Commerce, and Janice Williamson of Winterville; and three Grandchildren, John, Will, and Alex Daves.He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Daves.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Marshall Vaughn and Tony Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday night.The family is at the home.
