Mr. John David "Johnny" Dickerson, 77, of Phillips Way, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia.

Born on November 13, 1946 in Toccoa GA, he was the son of the late James Woodrow Dickerson and Sarah Propes Dickerson.  Mr. Dickerson was retired from Beauleiu of America in Royston and a member of the Price Chapel Church of God.  He also loved Hunting, Fishing and spending time with his grandkids.  Mr. Dickerson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife: Linda Phillips Dickerson; his son: Scott Dickerson and his wife Laura of Hartwell; a sister: Joann Kirk of Royston; three grandchildren: Chandler Dickerson, Parker Dickerson, and Savanah Richardson (Gavin) and a great-grandchild: Wes Richardson.  Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Donald Dickerson and Roy Dickerson.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Dickerson will be Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
