Mr. Joseph Agurs, 62, of Hickory Crossing Road, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at his home.

Born on December 22, 1960 in Charlotte NC, he was the son of the late Joseph Jackson Agurs and Geraldine Johnson Agurs. He was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his children: Donyell Cunningham and Whytne Wylie; one grandchild: Maleah Wylie; one brother: Roosevelt Agurs and two sisters: Elsie Henderson and Mary Cooper.  Mr. Agurs is preceded in death by his parents; and one child: Cameron Vine.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

A service celebrating Mr. Joseph Agurs' life will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
