Mr. Joseph Alexander Wroblewski, 76, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Emory University Hospital – Midtown.
Born on December 7, 1939 in Walkers Mill PA, he was the son of the late Roman Wroblewski and Helen Kuczynski Wroblewski.Mr. Wroblewski was a graduate of Carnegie High School, where he met and finally married Nancy Cridge on October 14, 1961.They moved to Chicago IL, where he worked with youth coaching and refereeing soccer and football, touching the lives of many young men.Mr. Wroblewski retired from Union Standard Equipment Corporation, where he was the General Manager.He was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.They recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Cridge Wroblewski and his five children Robin Trainer (Shawn), Joe Wroblewski (Jodi), Darcy Stack (Patrick), Todd Wroblewski (Ciara), Brad Wroblewski (Christi), eleven grandchildren; Stephanie, Adam, Kara, Jennifer, Victoria, Nicole, Kyle, Ryan, Justin, Abby, Dylan and two sisters; Ramona Walasek and Joyce Deems (Barry) and their children.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon November 10th, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. in the gathering area of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church. Following the viewing, a memorial service celebrating Joe's life will be held in the sanctuary with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating.A reception to follow in the church fellowship hall.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
