Mrs. Josie Launa Webb, 97, of Hartwell, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Hart Care Center.Born on June 23, 1924 in Hartwell, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Dock and Coven O'Barr Bailey.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.

Survivors include one daughter: Sandra (Johnny) Bruce of Hartwell. One daughter-in-law: Linda Cerrello of Jacksonville Florida. One stepson: John Webb of Elberton. Three grandchildren: Suzanne (Russ) Mize of Hartwell, Jamie Holbrook of Asheville, North Carolina, Nicole (Brian) Johnson of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Three great grandchildren: Chantz Mize, Rachel Mize of Hartwell and Alexander Holbrook of Asheville, North Carolina.

Sisters: Billie Dean Hembree of High Point, North Carolina and Betty Sue Crump of Hartwell. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: John Marett, James Freeman and Albert Webb; one son: Ronnie Freeman; one brother: Beverly (Brother) Bailey; three sisters: Inez Holden, JoAnn Prickett and Rosa Hicks.

Mrs. Webb enjoyed her church activities, gardening and working outdoors.She was lovingly cared for by Brookdale Assisted Living and Hart Care Center for the past eight years.

The family will receive friends Friday morning October 29, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home of Sandra and Johnny Bruce, 74 Old Beacon Light Road, Hartwell, Georgia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Webb will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Entombment will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
