Mrs. Joy Brown Potter, age 80 of Cobb Village, Royston, GA, formerly of Bio Church Rd, Hartwell, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston.
Born August 23, 1928 in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Mallory Judson "Mal" Brown and Eunice Harper Brown.She was a retired Reporter for the Credit Bureau of Elberton.She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Happy Agers and FCS of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Sister, Susan Frances Brown of Royston, GA and a Brother, James M. Brown of Davey, FL.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Carter Tucker will officiate.Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 -3:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
