Mrs. Joy Alewine Robinson, 83, of Brown Street, Hartwell, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home.

Born on November 1, 1930 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Johnny C. Alewine and Idell Dyar Alewine.She was the retired owner of J/J Robinson Insurance Agency in Hartwell and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Steve Robinson and his wife Martha of Canon, Tracy Robinson and his wife Keri of Newnan; a daughter, Dee A. Robinson of Hartwell; a brother, Johnny V. Alewine of Acworth; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and her beloved, Alton "Red" Fleming also survives.Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James W. Robinson.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Friday prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are optional, or special memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
