Mrs. Joyce Tucker Brown, 80, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Hart Care Center.

Born on April 5, 1938 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late William Orrin Tucker, Sr. and Mary Nell Bennett Tucker Crapnell.Mrs. Brown was a retired self-employed child care provider and former secretary for Brown Plumbing & Electric.She also was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Greg Brown & Robin of Bowersville and David Brown & Angie of Royston; one daughter: Joylynn Wilson & Danny of Hartwell; one brother: William O. Tucker, Jr & Peggy of Hartwell; two sisters: Kay Cleveland and Arminda Hicks Thorne both of Hartwell; six grandchildren; Gretchen Binford & Jimmy, Tucker Brown & Victoria, Deanna Sanders & Cory, Jeremy Brown & Kayla, Joshua Brown & Meghann, and Madison Joy Brown;five great-grandchildren: Griffin Brown, Kendell Brown, Ayla Sanders, Kara Sanders and Jay Binford also survive.Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents: step-father Craig Crapnell; husband: Gerald A. Brown; and one granddaughter: Jennifer Lynn Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jason Webb officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2973 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
