Obituary
Mrs. Joyce Ann Atkins Davis, 74, of Scottmill Road, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens.
Born on September 23, 1940 in Keystone WV, she was the daughter of the late Fon Lester Atkins and Jerrine Harmon Atkins Procuniar.
Survivors include her daughter: Kathy Jennings and her husband Barry of Hartwell; her son: Randall B. Pugh and his wife Angel of Jacksonville, FL; a sister: MaryLee Weeks of Rainbow City, AL; five grandchildren: Travis Jennings and his wife Stacy, Allison Hershberger and her husband Warren, Kirsten Loch, Zander Pugh and Zoey Pugh and her two loving caregivers: Lilly Jones and Tine Cleveland.Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband: John William Davis; two sisters: Fatma Buchanan and Donna Sue Atkins and twin brothers: Larry Atkins and Gary Atkins.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, 81 East Howell Street, Hartwell, GA 30643 or to the Hart County Humane Society, PO Box 1062, Hartwell, GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
