Mrs. Joyce Cannon Foster, 77, of Hartwell, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the John & Callie Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on February 26, 1948 in Royston GA, she was the daughter of the late Calvin C. Cannon Sr. and Wanda Jordan Cannon.  Mrs. Foster was a former seamstress for Bellcraft Mfg. and was retired from Electrolux of Anderson. She was also a member of the Liberty Hill Methodist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her two sons: Johnny Foster (Monica) of Hartwell and Mike Foster (Allison) of Bowersville; two sisters: Kathy Hill (Doug) of Danielsville GA and Debbie Trotter of Hartwell; a brother: Calvin C. Cannon (Linda) of Elberton GA; two grandchildren: Gabrielle Foster Jordan (Joseph) and Marcella Foster Holmes (Schafer); four great-grandchildren: Leonardo Jordan, Florence Jordan, Samson Jordan and David Jordan also survive.

Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Gary L. Foster and two brothers: Morris Cannon and Lamar Cannon.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 4, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Foster will be Monday, August 4, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Michelle May officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
