Mrs. Joyce Burdette Graham Smith, 75, of Cherry Lane, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens GA.

Born on July 16, 1946 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Burdette and Helen Sanders Burdette. Joyce was retired from Sibley Mill as a machine operator and a member of the Price Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include one son: David Graham (Angie) of Canon; one daughter: Teresa Mills (Marcus) of Hull GA; one sister: Betty Lynch of Hartwell; one brother: Billy Burdette (Susan) of Pendergrass GA; three grandchildren: Angel Bond (Hunter), Cody Mills and Candace Mills. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie Smith; two brothers: Willie Burdette, Doug Burdette and one grandson: Blake Graham.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Smith will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Phillip Burdette and Rev. Tony Franks officiating.Entombment will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens South, Royston.
