Ms. Joyce Louise Walters, 62, of E. Johnson St. Hartwell, died Tuesday, April 23 2013 at her home.

Born on August 28, 1950 in Lavonia, GA. she was the daughter of the late George Franklin Walters and Fannie Louise Carnes Walters.She was a retired waitress at Swamp Guinea and a member of the Hartwell First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Hill and her husband Michael of Hartwell; a son, Jeffery Welborn and his wife Dawn of Fredericksburg VA; a sister, Sue Walls and her husband J.P. of Hartwell and four grandchildren, Bailey Hill, Gabe Hill, Luke Welborn, and Lila Welborn also survive.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral home of Hartwell with Rev. Jonathan Gaylord officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday night.The family is at the home of Amanda and Michael Hill, 44 Highland Ridge Dr., Hartwell.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
