Mrs. Juanita Vickery Bailey, 87, of Will Bailey Road, Hartwell, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on May 14, 1929 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Marion G. Vickery and Genevieve Rice Vickery.Mrs. Bailey was a retired paraprofessional from the Hart County School System and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Sally Timmerman (Mike) of Suwanee; two grandchildren: Will Timmerman and Bailey Timmerman. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Dewey Bailey; one son: Drew Bailey; two brothers: Joe T. Vickery, Curt Vickery; four sisters: Geraldine Jordan, Eula Sanders, Sara Lankford, and Montine Putnam.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Webb and Mr. Leslie Boles officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.The family will receive friends at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service .The family is at their respective homes.
