Obituary
Mrs. Juanita Ann Saylors Dowell, 78, of 203 Grady School Rd, Lavonia, GA, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her home.
Born October 28, 1929 in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Willis Saylors and Mamie Owens Saylors. She was a homemaker and a member of the Riverside Baptist Church.
She is survived by: Husband, Lee Ervin Dowell of the home, sons, Billy Dowell, Sr., of Hartwell, Ga., Bobby Dowell and Dennis Dowell of Canon, Ga., daughters, Nancy Whitaker of Bowersville, Ga., and Lisa Dowell of Canon, Ga., brothers, Jerry Saylors of Bowersville, Ga., and Ray Saylors of Hartwell, Ga. Eleven grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Bobby Whitaker and daughter-in-law, Annette Dowell and grandson, Alijah Fleeman.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell Chapel. Rev. Johnny Stowe and Rev. Jerome Hill will officiate. Burial will be at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening. The family will be at the home.
