Mrs. Juanita (Smith) Roach, age 79, of Martin, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Brown Health & Rehabilitation.
Born October 5, 1935, in Royston, she was the daughter of the late Merman Agnew and Nellie (Maret) Smith. She was a long time employee of Begg's Food City and retired as a self employed home daycare provider and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law: Randy & Elaine Roach and Ronnie & Cindy Roach all of Martin; grandchildren: Casey & her husband Rob Blakely, Gregg Roach and Renee' Roach; sister: Flora Beggs of Canon; and a brother: Hugh D. Smith of Morrow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Herschel Fred Roach; and sisters: Rachel Cobb & Opal Allen.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Stacey, Rev. Edward Whitworth & Rev. Josh Harvill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. At other times the families will be at their respective homes. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Roach to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
