Mrs. Judith M. Novak Adriance, 79, of Tahoe Drive, Hartwell, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.
Born on September 3, 1938 in High Bridge NJ, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Novak and Wilma Apgar Novak.Judie or "Mrs. A" as most of you knew her started her teaching career in New Jersey.She taught there for 23 years before moving to Hartwell in 1975. Judie taught 3rd and 4th grade at Eagle Grove and Airline Elementary for 43 years.As a teacher she touched many small hands for an instant, but changed their lives and lived in their hearts forever. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She left a legacy of love, gratitude, charity, and knowledge that all of her family will continue on in her honor.
Survivors include her husband: Donald L. "Don" Adriance; three sons: Robert "Bobby" Robinson and his spouse Nohora of Columbus GA, Michael "Mike" Robinson and his spouse Maureen of Anchorage AK, and James "Jim" Robinson of Hartwell; two daughters: Jennifer Hilliker and her spouse Jim of Riegelsville PA and Natalie Duffy and her spouse Tom of Granby VT; a brother: Richard "Dick" Novak of Walnut Grove CA; two sisters: Barbara Cutzer of Brentwood CA and Mary Wermeth of Mooresville NC; 11 grandchildren: Barbara Stowe, David Robinson, Christopher Hilliker, Joshua Hilliker, Tyler Hilliker, Chelsea Deutsch, Robert "Bobby' Robinson, Drew Duffy, Kaylin Hilliker, Annie Robinson, Lindsay Robinson, Lauren Robinson, Shannon Duffy, and four Great grandchildren Luke Hicks, Adam Deutsch, Holden Stowe, and Benjamin "Benny" Deutsch.
A memorial service celebrating Judith's life will held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to defray Medical and Funeral expenses.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell are in charge of all arrangements.
