Obituary
Mr. Judson Lafayette Fleming, 88, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA died Friday, December 11, 2009 at Embracing Hospice of Snellville, GA.
Born February 22, 1921 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Howard Fleming and Maude Cole Fleming.He was retired from Monroe Auto Equipment where he worked as a supervisor in the shipping department.He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Choir Director.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Jones Fleming; daughter, Glenda Mayhue and her husband, Monk, of Snellville, GA; two grandchildren, Rob Mayhue and his wife, Amy, and Greg Mayhue and his wife, Kay Lynn; and three great grandchildren, Trip Mayhue, Truitt Mayhue, and Madison Mayhue.He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Lucy Mae Barnett.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel with burial at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service.Memorials may be made to Embracing Hospice, 2160 Fountain Drive, Snellville, GA 30078.
