Judy Setliff Wright, age 72, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born June 8, 1947, in Martinsville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mattie Sue (Cox) Setliff. After graduating in 1965 from Hampton High School, she married the late James Wright, Sr. and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and was an avid Bible reader. She also worked as a substitute teacher and was a volunteer with Franklin Life Pregnancy Crisis Center. Mrs. Wright was a member of Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was an active member of the church choir.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Jimmy & Jennifer Wright; daughters: Pam Wright and Cyndi Wright; grandchildren: Caleb Wright, Presley Wright, Savannah Wright, Sam Wright, and Abby Wright; and sisters: Gloria Holmes and Virginia Houston. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother: Tommy Earles; and sisters: Barbara Garrett, Christine Patterson, and Billie Rogers.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Peniel Pentecostal Church, 2975 Sandy Cross Road, Royston, GA 30662. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens- North. The Rev. Bert Synan will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Franklin Life PRC, P.O. Box 615, Carnesville GA 30521 or to Peniel P.H. Church, 2975 Sandy Cross Road, Royston, GA 30662.
