Mr. Junior Edward Thomason, age 79, of Lavonia, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Born January 24, 1930, in Elbert County, he was the son of the late Willis Emory Thomason and Rosa Lee (Seymore) Thomason. He was a retired construction worker. Mr. Thomason was a member of Price Chapel Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sara Ruth (Elrod) Thomason; sister: Willene Moon; and brothers: Emory Thomason and Harrison Alton Thomason.
Survivors include daughters: Dale Freeman of Canon & Judy Brock; sons: Roger Thomason of Sandy Cross, Jerry Thomason of Conyers, & Eddie Thomason of Lavonia; brother: George W. Thomason of Elberton; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Price Chapel Church of God with Rev. Johnny Stowe & Rev. Gettis Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home of daughter Judy Brock.
